Note: For the most accurate method, please visit your local jeweler and ask them to size your finger, or use a specially made ring-sizing tool yourself.
The method below should only be considered an approximation.
Sizing Method:
1. Find a piece of string or strip of paper no wider than 20mm.
2. Wrap it around the base of your finger where the ring normally sits.
3. Use a pen to mark the point on the string/paper where it overlaps.
4. With a ruler, measure the length from the start of the string/paper to the pen mark.
5. Use this measurement and the chart below to determine your ring size.
Some tips to make your ring size measurement more accurate:
Measure your finger size at the end of the day when your fingers are usually largest.
Don't measure finger sizes when your hands are cold.
Since a wider ring covers more of your finger, you may find you need to order 1/4 to 1/2 sizes larger in this case.
If possible, have your finger measured several times on different days - this is the best way to get a true reading.
